Today is Monday again and this week's hostess for Fun Monday is Sayre from Sayre Smiles! This is what Sayre wants to know:Take your camera to work and take pictures of the things that inspire you as you work or that inspires your coworkers. Ask them (or yourself) what it is about that particular object or picture that makes the work day seem a little easier.Since I work from my home and recently finished making my closet into an office, I have to reuse the same pics I had a while ago, SORRY!
If you don't work outside the home, take a picture of the thing that helps you get through the day and inspires you to have the best day you can.
When we bought this house, we loved that it was unique. One thing that was out of the ordinary was the closet in our bedroom. The people who built the house made the closet like a little room with a window and storage window seat! They even had a phone line, for internet service, run into the closet so they could use half the closet as an office! We followed suit and transformed half our closet into an office for my Nine Acres Photography business, which includes Simply Smooches.

Because my business is photography, I surround myself with things I find beautiful and inspiring. That includes postcards, photographs, and natural elements such as flowers.

Organization and tidiness are key for me. I can't think straight with a lot of clutter, so when I get a mess on my desk, I must straighten up so I can function!

I also am inspired by my view. While this scene is many more times green right now, every season my window in the office has wonderful vistas to show me.

This bulletin board, right above my computer is my "favorites" board. Here you can see a few of my favorite postcards and a leaf from Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest. You can also see a few of my own images.
So, that is about it. Anything I find beautiful, a good view, and organization is my inspiration at work! Thanks for hosting, Sayre :0)

I was wondering where you had your office, I was thinking it was in your mud room. Your photos would inspire all that gaze upon them.
ReplyDeletehow fun.
ReplyDeleteTracey I absolutely love your design style. What a wonderful place to work creatively. Did you make the bulletin board yourself? I've seen them in magazines before and have been tempted to try to make one. Oh yes, does the green vase behind your pencil holder have a story?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Just lovely. Um, can you "do" my sewing room? *giggle* It's in such a mess now that I'd be embarrassed to have anyone see it. Thanks for sharing, and happy FM to you!
ReplyDeleteOh!!! I want your closet!!! How absolutely marvelous to have a space like that at home. If I had a closet with a window, I'd do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteVery organized and cozy. I can see why you could work for hours at your computer. You have many things around to inspire you!
ReplyDeleteWanna trade office space? I would work better in yours than mine!
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice space. I love the view!
ReplyDeleteI like my office because it's right off the family room and has the large closet for the holiday ornament storage!
What a lovely view. I would definitely would love to trade offices with you. ;-) I also like you bulletin board. :-)
ReplyDeleteMine is up late... Have a Fun Monday! :-)
